This is site originally started out focused on the Games Workshop game “Blood Bowl” and the miniature hobby associated with it. Other miniature games such as Games Workshop “Necromunda” have also started to creep in. If I forget to edit this About page again, I wouldn’t be surprised if some other tabletop miniatures games start to get mentioned. But essentially this site is about games, miniatures games, and all the work joy that goes into getting miniatures and terrain looking presentable.
As for “Blood Bowl”. It is a game where fantasy themed teams (Orcs, Undead, Elves, Ogres, etc.) get together for a brutal American Football style sport (put out by a company from the UK, no less!) where almost anything goes. Games can be won by scoring the most points, but also by injuring your opponent’s team so bad that they can’t continue.
I’ve been playing the game for quite some time and it got me back into collecting and painting miniatures. Some days I think that might be a bad thing, but I do find that painting can be relaxing and rewarding. Though it does take a long, long time. At least for me.
Like most tabletop miniatures games, I find Blood Bowl to be quite fun on several different levels. There is the miniatures side, a strong strategic side, and the way that stories develop during the game. I hope to share a little bit of that world through this blog.
Have fun!
